The History of Emotionalism
ART.1 - DEFINITION
Reflexive Emotionalism is an artistic and theoretical movement that exalts the emotional value of representation through the fusion of pure emotion and inner reflection.
The artwork is conceived not only in its technical elaboration, but becomes an interactive space in which the observer is stimulated to undertake a personal, emotional and interior journey, exploring dreamlike horizons and dimensions suspended between the visible and the invisible.
ART.2 - PURPOSE
The aim of this artistic movement is to transcend apparent reality, characterized by forms and matter, to explore emotional and transcendent dimensions, creating a vision that invites reflection, introspection, turmoil, and revelation. The artist assumes a mediumistic role, using a free language that translates into intuition, perception, memories,
search for the unknown.
ART.3 - AESTHETIC FUNDAMENTALS
Each artistic movement is characterized by the presence of distinctive elements that characterize its artistic style and its recognizability or aesthetic peculiarity.
In particular, the following elements stand out for Reflexive Emotionalism:
1) Color takes on a sensorial value and becomes an element of connection with states of mind; it does not possess a descriptive or merely aesthetic value but has an expressive character (it does not describe but expresses); color evokes, through expressive research, the inner light of the intrinsic essence of matter in continuous evolution.
The chromatic mutation has a symbolic value and translates into the metamorphosis of the form itself into soul and ultradimensional forms;
2) The form is never defined because reality is only apparent; the fading of forms is exalted, appearing evanescent and nuanced, oscillating between harmony and dissolution, between light and darkness in a primitive and magmatic vision floating in empty and undefined spaces;
3) the pictorial and sculptural trait is characterized by the exaltation of materiality, erosion, points of light, fluctuations of color, explosion of the energetic and creative factor, valorization of sfumato, emergence of dissolving forms from indefinite, dreamlike and metaphysical backgrounds; These techniques amplify and exemplify the sense of emotion understood as a creative force of perceptive impulse of a mediumistic nature;
4) A different expressive modality, which translates into languages more suited to the artists' characteristics, is not an obstacle to belonging to a particular movement. Any language can be valid if it aims to explore the spiritual and perceptive aspects of artistic representation.
5) the artist has the burden of creating an original product without emulating stereotypes or works of other movements without an authentic reworking which must have as its foundation the principles of the movement in search of the evocative, interior and transcendent factor of the work
ART.4 - THEORETICAL FOUNDATION
Reflexive emotionalism acknowledges that reality is only an imperfect and partial perception.
The artist does not represent empirical reality superficially and superficially, but rather unleashes his expressive power by delving into the fractures of the world, inspecting mysterious and unexplored dimensions. Truth can only be intuited through the emergence and perception of revealing clues, deducible from the contrast between light and darkness, between matter in formation and its dissolution.
From the material chaos, the artist extrapolates extrasensory, ultradimensional realities, alternative possibilities in a parallel multiverse. The forms seem to float in timeless spaces, taking on a symbolic value of memory, the transcendent, mystery, and every enigma of human existence.
ART.5 - THE OBSERVER AS CO-AUTHOR
The work has an interactive function as it aims to create an immersive vision in which the viewer interacts on an emotional level.
The evocative function induces the viewer of the artwork to stimulate his own emotional sphere by involving him through a personal interpretation.
The artistic artefact contains an internal message which is perceived to varying degrees by the spectator who elaborates a personal concept according to his own emotional path.
from the vision represented by the artist.
I hereby declare that REFLECTIVE EMOTIONISM is an artistic movement conceived by me on the basis of the principles outlined above, claiming my ideational and spiritual authorship.
